We start out with a projector-flickering effect on a wall (to motivate the sound effect at the beginning of the song). A dirty, film image flickers on the screen as we see Ceelo walk out into the middle of a football field*. As the song comes in, suddenly a marching band enters the frame, marching right through the middle of the scene.

Ceelo just stands there motionless. Right from the start, the video is TOTALLY kinetic; cuts are short and fast, matching the pace of the song. The images are bright and saturated. Nothing is hand held; it's all static, solid, iconic shots: extreme close ups of fingers on trumpets, feet stomping and marching in place…it’s completely energetic.

The marching band circles Ceelo, who suddenly explodes with energy, singing the song. The band erupts into a ‘visual’performance of the song; a really intense choreographed and synchronized routine. Ceelo continues to belt out the song.After about :50 seconds, in a close up of Ceelo, the camera quickly pans to the right as we see a fully-decked-out church choir, belting out the chorus, “I’m free!” Ceelo and the choir play off each other, keeping their crazy energy the entire time.

In tight close ups of the marching band, we see them starting to sweat PROFUSELY. We focus on two trumpet players who start to look a little worried. As the song continues, their perspiration goes way over the top, to the point of being comical; the sweat is just pouring down their faces and bodies…

The performance continues, as we’re cutting between all them very quickly; Ceelo, the marching band and the choir. Their energy is crazy.

Around 1:50, the marching band stops playing, taking their instruments away from their mouths for a quick break. The two trumpeters, who are completely drenched in sweat, look as if they’re going to explode. Ceelo and the choir sing through the short break, then…

The song and the marching band kick back in as the two sweat-drenched trumpeters drop their instruments, run front and center and bust out a full-on CRUNK dance routine. We’re cutting from all over now, the band, the choir, Ceelo and the two trumpeter-Crunk-dancers. The choir members are hand-clapping, marching band is stomping in place…

Their routine continues as the song reaches the end. Exhausted, the band members suddenly start falling to the ground, as if they’re melting. The Crunk-dancers do the same and the choir members slowly stop hand-clapping. The projector-flicker effect flashes onto the screen as we cut to a close up of Ceelo. The film burns and melts as the song ends.

*A few notes: I’m not sure exactly what Danger Mouse does during a performance; of course we could include him, I’m just not sure what his interaction would be; whether he’s the DJ, or standing right next to Ceelo, or possibly the marching band leader…

I know Ceelo and Danger Mouse go nuts with their costumes on stage, and it would cool to have them decked-out appropriately (maybe leave that up to them?).
